Ramsey - Giroud is a joy to play alongside

When Olivier Giroud scored his 100th goal for the club on Thursday, it was telling just how many of his team-mates ran over to celebrate with him.

The France international is a popular figure both on and off the pitch, and Aaron Ramsey says he is a joy to play alongside.

“He’s a fantastic player with many qualities and to score 100 goals is an amazing achievement and he joins a very select few,” the Wales international told Arsenal Player. “Congratulations to him, we’re delighted to have him in our team and hopefully he’ll score a lot more.

“I think he’s a great player. He can score a lot of goals, he’s very good technically and can hold defenders off, he scores a lot of headers and his link up play as well is very good.

“I like to play off him. He has a good understanding of the runs that I make and I try to play off him. We’ve had a few goals where we’ve combined well together.

“I do like that sort of player because make those sort of runs in behind and he’s very strong and can find you with passes or hold up play and flick ons.”
