We can confirm that Rafaelle Souza is to leave Arsenal when her contract expires at the end of this season.
Rafa joined us in January 2022 and went on to make 35 appearances in red and white, scoring four goals along the way.
The Brazilian centre-back has played a key role at Arsenal during her time with the club. She scored a memorable goal against Tottenham Hotspur in front of a record Barclays Women’s Super League crowd at Emirates Stadium in September 2022, and was part of the team that won the Conti Cup in March 2023.
Rafa also led the Brazilian national team to Copa America glory in the summer of 2022, which was a proud moment for all at Arsenal.
