Louise Quinn has learned so much during her two years in north London.
The Republic of Ireland international joined us in May 2017 ahead of the FA WSL Spring Series and has gone on to establish herself as one of our core players.
And Quinn was quick to credit Joe Montemurro with her improvement on the pitch.
“I’ve come on in massive strides,” she told Arsenal Player. “I had a good base of just physicality and aerial presence, wanting to help and lead on the pitch. Now I’m definitely using my feet more, I’m wanting to play rondos on the edge of the box and want the ball more.
“I want to dribble and drive more. Joe has encouraged me to do that so much each and every day in training. I’ve definitely failed a lot on the training pitches but it’s only to make myself better and to bring that onto the pitch. The fact that I’ve been able to be in the starting XI has been massive for me.
“There is so much more to come,” Quinn added. “In patches during the season, it has been extremely tough and if we can just iron that out… I think everyone’s just so much more motivated now with the fact that there’s Champions League football as well.
“Now we want to retain this league title and then get even more cups. The motivation is there, we’ve just got to get through the summer with a good pre-season under the belt and then we’ll go again.”
