Per Mertesacker's rise at Arsenal has been incredible - from player, to club captain... to being appointed as our new academy manager (from 2018/19 onwards).
The former Germany international joined the club on transfer deadline day in August 2011 and has gone on to win three Emirates FA Cup titles with us.
Not only that, but of his eight goals for us, one has been in an FA Cup semi-final, another in a final - and his first for us was against Tottenham in the north London derby.
