Sead Kolasinac was understandably delighted after we delivered a strong performance to win the first leg of our Europa League quarter-final with Napoli.
The Bosnia international spoke to the media after the match and this is what he told them:
on our first-half performance…
I think we started the game really well from the first minute. We deserved to take the lead and then added a second goal. We really wanted to keep a clean sheet tonight and are able to do that.
on preparing well for Napoli…
Yeah, absolutely. We studied them before the game and knew where their strengths and weaknesses were. I think we showed that well on the pitch tonight with a good team performance. The win was deserved.
on if the win puts us in a good position…
It puts us in a good position, of course, but we know it’s only 2-0. What was important was that we kept a clean sheet tonight, but in Naples it will be a completely different game. We’ll need to go in 100 per cent focused, as we did tonight.
on how big the squad’s hunger is to win the competition…
It’s really big. Of course everyone wants to win it, but we know there’s still a long way to go. We’re not thinking about that yet, we’re looking from game to game. We’v put ourselves in a good position for the return game.
