Jordan Nobbs booked our ticket to our sixth Continental Cup final with a late goal against Reading on Sunday.
The midfielder already has already won the competition four times and gave this assessment of the performance to Arsenal.com after the game.
on the result…
We seemed to be leaving things to the last minute and we had a lot of chances today, but we do need to take them and we did that. Overall we’re showing great character in our team and the main thing is we’re in the final. I’m very proud of the team today, to come back and we played well, but we do need tidy up a bit and not concede as many goals.
on how it felt to score the winner…
I believe in this team right now and everything we’re doing. I don’t care who got it, I’m just glad it went in, but it ended up being mine. I’m just glad it went in the back of the net.
on reaching our sixth Continental Cup final…
I’ve got four, so it’s always a trophy I want to carry on winning and I want to make sure I can get as many as I can at this club and hopefully we can take our chances in the final. I’m looking forward to it.
on whether we can win it…
Of course we can win it, we have got to the final, won it before and have experience in big pressure games. We have all the tools and just need to prepare right for it.
on the upcoming WSL game against Reading…
You can’t take any team in this league for granted and Reading have pushed as a squad. They got two goals today and we know we need to be careful, but hopefully we knocked a bit of confidence out of them. We can beat them again.
