Jack Wilshere cannot wait for a reunion with Emmanuel Eboue when Arsenal take on Galatasaray at the Emirates Cup.
The Ivorian made 214 appearances for the Club and became a cult hero in north London before moving to Turkey in 2011.
Eboue was also a firm favourite among the Arsenal squad and Wilshere praised the positive impact he had during his time in England.
“He was a special character,” the midfielder told the Official Matchday Programme. “He was good around the dressing room. Even if he was upset that he wasn't playing, he kept everyone's spirits up and was a happy guy.
“He is missed and it will be good to see him around the place. A few of the fans will be happy to see him as well.”
