Wenger on Gibbs, Berbatov and PFA

Arsène Wenger faced the media on Thursday ahead of the Premier League game against Fulham. Here's our round-up of the manager's quotes. For the headlines, visit our Digest page:

on Gibbs' battle with Monreal...
They have done really well. That's another difficult decision I have to make in every single game. I would say for Gibbs it's the same as it is for Chamberlain because he has improved tremendously this season. I think October, November, was really a springboard for him where he moved forward. He's a candidate for higher up [now].

on which Arsenal players could receive PFA nominations…
All of them! I don't know. I am not too much interested in individual rewards in our sport because I think what is important is what the team achieves. I've never been too keen on individual awards.

on if he had to speak to Wilshere after Tuesday's half-time incident…
Not a lot happened, honestly.

on if he's ever been interested in Berbatov…
No, because he went to Man United. I didn't even know that Man United wanted to sell him. He went to Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen. At that time we didn't look for strikers. We had what was needed. I knew that he was a good player because I've seen him with Leverkusen but I was never on the case.
