With Arsene Wenger making seven changes to his side, the England international will play through the middle at the expense of Olivier Giroud, who drops to the bench.
Elsewhere, Laurent Koscileny has passed a fitness test to line up in the centre of defence, with Thomas Vermaelen at left back. Nacho Monreal is cup tied.
