Szczesny - We will learn our lesson

Wojciech Szczesny says Arsenal will learn the lessons of their disappointing defeat to Liverpool and move on quickly.

The Gunners can make instant response when Manchester United visit Emirates Stadium on Wednesday before they play Liverpool again on Sunday in the FA Cup.

Szczesny praised the Arsenal fans' support at Anfield and is determined to repay their faith in the coming weeks.

"We represent one of the biggest clubs in the world and what we did early on is not acceptable"

"I think if we were half as good as they were we would have got a good result," he told Arsenal Player. "Unfortunately we couldn't match their performance and we all know what happened so we are thankful that they stayed behind us because we'll need them for the rest of the season.

"We didn't enjoy it at all. We didn't turn up for the first half and we got punished so there's a lesson there to be learnt but we've got to turn up quickly and focus on the next game.

"We represent one of the biggest clubs in the world and what we did early on is not acceptable. We said that at half-time, we went out in the second half with a different attitude and it was much more of an even game.

"But as I said we will learn our lesson from this and respond quickly against Man United."
