Bacary Sagna feels Arsenal’s tense victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday could prove to be a "massive" result.
Tomas Rosicky’s brace at The Hawthorns secured a sixth win in seven league games and temporarily elevated the Gunners into the top four.
"We knew it was going to be difficult in their stadium with their fans but we managed to keep going"
Arsene Wenger's side are now just two points behind Tottenham with a game in hand as the race for a Champions League place intensifies.
“It was really hard,” Sagna told Arsenal Player. “We were 2-0 up but we put ourselves in trouble, losing some stupid balls and they managed to score.
“We knew it was going to be difficult in their stadium with their fans but we managed to keep going, we managed to fight until the end and we managed to take the three points.
“Winning is really massive. We knew we have to take it game by game and take maximum points. We're on a good run and we want to keep that going because we still have six weeks to go until the end of the season and we want to qualify for the Champions League.
“We don't want to look at other teams. We just want to look at our own team and finish in the top four.”
