The forward netted less than 60 seconds after entering the field as a 75th-minute substitute but, having fought back from two goals down, Claudio Barragan's side could not find a winner.

Andre Santos was not included in the Gremio squad as a Ronaldinho brace consigned Vanderlei Luxemburgo's team to defeat at the hands of Atletico Mineiro.
