Shelley Kerr spoke to Arsenal.com after Arsenal Ladies secured their seventh straight Women's Super League victory with a 1-0 success at Chelsea. Read on for a transcript of what she said:

on grinding out the victory…
I'm delighted with the three points. It was a massive three points for us because Chelsea are a decent team. It could and should have been more than one goal but, at this stage of the season, you want three points and that's what we got.

on a solid defensive performance…
I thought they were all magnificent. They've been so solid in the last few games and I thought Katie Chapman was magnificent tonight. She was amazing. What she did tonight was use her experience and she helped everyone in the team with that experience. There's nobody better at playing that role and that's why she was in that role tonight. She was outstanding.

on nine straight wins in all competitions…
We're still not getting carried away. What we say to the girls is that we'll look at each game at a time. The focus is always on the next game and trying to get three points from the next game. That's all we're doing.

on setting high standards…
The girls' energy levels are quite incredible. I think they've all done exceptionally well. The big thing is there is lots of competition there and I think they all thrive on that. There's a right togetherness about them as well. It was a crucial game for us to win tonight.

on four straight home games on the horizon…
It's four games in 11 games. That's a tough ask for any team. They are fit, sharp and we will try to utilise the players as best as we can to keep that freshness going into each game. We know every match will be hard for us.
