Olivier Giroud cannot wait for the north London derby next weekend after his flying start to the new season gave him a major confidence boost.
The French striker was in sensational form during the pre-season campaign, scoring eight goals in seven games for the Gunners.
That run has continued into the new season and his early strike at Fulham on Saturday made it three in three games for the France international.
"Maybe I feel more relieved in the game [now] and more confident. I've scored 11 goals in 10 games I think so I feel good and have no doubts"
“I always want to improve myself and I feel really good on the pitch,” Giroud told Arsenal Player. “I always want to make the team win so we feel good and we really want to keep going.
“Maybe I feel more relieved in the game [now] and more confident. I've scored 11 goals in 10 games I think so I feel good and have no doubts.
“I'm like that in life. I just enjoy my first game, my good form, so I wanted to carry on and keep it up. I feel good in the team.
“It could be a very big game, the north London derby. I look forward for that. Step-by-step, we need to finish the job against Fenerbahce and after we could play with the feeling of [having done] a good job.
“We deserve it and we want to be confident and strong for the beginning of the season. Last year we had a bad run at the start of the season so it's very important to keep a small distance [to the team in] first.”
