When the final whistle blew on Tuesday night, no one was more disappointed at the home defeat to Watford than Petr Cech.
The Arsenal goalkeeper knew we had missed a big opportunity to make up ground on Chelsea ahead of Saturday’s game, and says the team now must take the chance to put things right.

“I think we owe ourselves a performance that will get us back on track because above everything we let ourselves down in the opening 20 minutes of the Watford game,” Cech told Arsenal Player.
“We had a two-goal deficit and suddenly we had an opponent who was full of confidence and they made it very difficult. In the second half it was a very good performance, we put them under huge pressure and had a lot of chances.
“We were very unlucky in a way with the first goal because it took a big deflection, then afterwards you hit the bar, then the goalkeeper makes three great saves and there were some blocks at the last second, so it didn’t go our way.
“But on the other hand, when you start the way we started you are asking for trouble and that is exactly what happened.”
