When Olivier Giroud headed in Arsenal’s equaliser against Ludogorets, he knew the Gunners had the quality to complete their comeback.
And 40 minutes later he was proven right, when Mesut Ozil produced a sublime piece of skill to round a goalkeeper, two defenders and slot into an empty net.

“It was a bad start,” Giroud said. “Even if we had the ball they got us on the counter-attack. They were sharp and we were a bit surprised by this team again.
“To come back before half-time shows a strong team character. We never gave up the game and the last goal showed that we had them at their best quality - the counter-attack.
“It’s definitely a tough scenario for them. They played really well but at the end of the day we got the three points so I am very pleased.”
