Arsenal Ladies' 5-a-side league is back!

Ladies Hub

Arsenal Ladies are pleased to announce the relaunch of the Monday night five-a-side league.

The league looks to engage female players for the first time, those who may have played the game previously or those that are currently playing and want to have a kick about with their friends.

Supported by Hertfordshire FA and Premier League Women & Girls funding, the league will run from Monday, October 3 until Monday, December 12, with a view to continuing the league after the Christmas break.

Every Monday night, players will be organised in teams and play friendly fixtures. Players will be rewarded for their attendance as individuals.

VENUE: Cotlandswick Leisure Centre, 341 High St, London Colney, St Albans, AL2 1EB

TIME: 19:30 - 21:00

DATES: Every Monday, beginning on October 3

Why would I play?
You may be a young player aiming to prepare for women’s open age football. You may have dropped out of the game due to the time commitment and miss playing. Whatever your reason, the league gives you the opportunity to get back into the game.

How can I sign up?
You can sign up to play or register your interest by emailing our League Co-Ordinator Laura Dyer:

If you have a group of mates and would like to register as a group – great!

If not, you can register as an individual and we will find you a team for the games.

How much does it cost?
It costs £2 per person per week to play.

Do I have to commit to every week?
No – we understand that it’s hard to commit to programmes. Although, we hope you will attend every session as this will contribute to your points.

How do I get points?
Every time you attend you get a point. When you reach certain milestones we will give you prizes. Our first prize is for four points, which gives you a family ticket to our Arsenal Ladies v Doncaster Belles fixture on October 30th.

What will an average Monday night look like?
The sessions start at 7.30pm, and if you aren’t involved in the first game we will run a training session to keep you busy. Games will be played on a five-a-side pitch and we will have numerous games per evening.

How old do you have to be to play in the league?
As this is a women’s only league the minimum age is 16.
