The Arsenal Foundation teamed up with its global charity partner Save the Children, to support The BFG Dream Jar Trail this summer.
Inspired by the release of the new BFG film, the Dream Jar initiative has seen dozens of organisations and celebrities support public art installations to raise money for children across the world, and the Dream Jars are now up for auction.
Arsenal’s very own BFG (Big Friendly German) Per Mertesacker unveiled the Arsenal Dream Jar at Emirates Stadium with a group of Junior Gunners. He then read sections of Roald Dahl’s book to the group.
Inside the jar is a bronze statue which shows an adult and two children running across a giant football, which symbolises Arsenal’s dream to ensure young people in North London and across the world has a safe place to play. To bid on the Arsenal Dream Jar, visit: paddle8.com/bfg on Arsenal’s Golden Phizzgunner Dream Jar. All money raised will go to Save the Children and help make the dreams and aspirations of the world’s most vulnerable children come true.
