The former Germany goalkeeper is due to feature in the match at Emirates Stadium on September 3, and the current Gunners’ No 1 is looking forward to it.
"Some people can’t change regardless of the circumstances and if you are a professional and really love what you are doing, you do it in a perfect way"
“I think it is a very good idea for the fans to see all the legends back on the pitch,” Cech told Arsenal Player. “It is obviously a different game then they are used to seeing. They get to see the stars and their favourite players.
“I think it is always nice to have this opportunity, because you have some fans born later who might not remember these big names on the pitch.
“I competed against [Lehmann] for a number of years and he is a big character. He has been a big player for Arsenal and I’m sure the fans will like seeing him back for that game.
“I think [he will take it seriously]. Some people can’t change regardless of the circumstances and if you are a professional and really love what you are doing, you do it in a perfect way.
“I have to say, if you are a goalkeeper in the legends game, your job is probably the hardest because not everybody defends and you have a lot of things to do - so you have to be ready!”
