We held the annual Arsenal in the Community awards in the Royal Oak suite at Emirates Stadium on Monday afternoon.
The event celebrated the achievements of 350 Arsenal in the Community participants over the course of the 2015/16 season.
Youngsters from our writing and performing programme with local theatre, The Almeida, provided the entertainment. Pictures taken by individuals involved in our photography project with Wembley to Soweto were also on show.
Guests heard a number of inspiring stories from Arsenal in the Community participants, who have made particular strides in the past 12 months.
Arsenal Ladies captain Alex Scott and Arsenal Under-21s forward Kaylen Hinds were on hand to congratulate the award winners, alongside head of Arsenal in the Community Alan Sefton. Mayor of Islington Kat Fletcher was also in attendance.
Mr Sefton said: “Our awards ceremony is a great way of celebrating everything the young people we work with have achieved over the past 12 months.
“We have had schoolchildren take part in national football and enterprise challenges, young men and women find work through our employability programme and hundreds of young people develop confidence, new skills and a sense of belonging through their involvement with Arsenal in the Community.
“I would like to congratulate all of our award winners and look forward to their continued progress during 2016/17.”
