Jack Wilshere came on as a half-time substitute but could not prevent England from being knocked out of Euro 2016 after surrendering a one-goal lead to lose against Iceland. Wayne Rooney gave Roy Hodgson's side the perfect start when converting an early penalty, but Ragnar Sigurdsson quickly equalised. Kolbeinn Sigthorsson completed the turnaround after 18 minutes to secure a famous victory for Iceland.
