Losa - This is a dream come true

Pedro Martinez Losa says it is "absolutely a dream come true" to have won the Women's FA Cup.

Dan Carter scored the deciding goal against Chelsea, curling into the top corner to help Arsenal Ladies win the competition for a record 14th time.

It was Losa’s first Women’s FA Cup triumph, and the manager was delighted with his team’s performance.

“It’s absolutely a dream come true to beat Chelsea at Wembley in front of our fans,” he told Arsenal Player. “I don’t think it can get better but we will have to see what we can do!

"The players were phenomenal and this group of players really deserved it. I’m really happy for them and for my staff"

“The players were phenomenal and this group of players really deserved it. I’m really happy for them and for my staff. We’ve made the fans proud and we can keep going now.

“We prepared very well and the girls were very focused. From the beginning we put Chelsea in a difficult position and we deserved to score more goals, but I think we played really good football which is the most important thing.

“We won the way we wanted to play, and we were also capable, with our character and personality, of suffering in the last five minutes. It’s a winning mentality.

“The players are proud to play for this club and the performance shows the potential we have at this club, especially playing against big teams like that one. I hope the fans felt proud.

“I have to say thank you very much to them. I hope they enjoyed the game, I hope we made them proud, I hope we can make them proud in the future, and I hope they can feel proud of our players, the way we play and the way we beat Chelsea.”
