Coach with Arsenal in the Community

Arsenal in the Community coaches

Arsenal in the Community is offering an exciting opportunity for 16-18 year-olds to take part in a two year trainee programme, starting in September 2016.

Based at the Arsenal Hub by Emirates Stadium, the traineeship combines further education with opportunities to gain practical coaching experience.

Participants will spend half the week at college studying sports science, physiology, officiating and other aspects of community sport. The second part of the week will be spent with the Arsenal in the Community team, working towards FA coaching badges with the support of experienced coaches.

Now a BTEC Level Three Course, the Arsenal traineeship has been a cornerstone of Arsenal in the Community since the 1980s. More than 900 individuals have come through the programme in the past 30 years, gaining knowledge and skills that have helped move into employment and further education.

Graduates of the programme include Arsenal Ladies’ star Rachel Yankey and Cambridge United physio Nick Irwin.
