Sheaf - This acts as motivation

By Lloyd Webb

Ben Sheaf says playing at Emirates Stadium was an "unbelievable experience" that acts as incentive for the future.

Stephy Mavididi and Kaylen Hinds were on target for Arsenal Under-18s as they beat Liverpool 2-1 to reach the FA Youth Cup semi-finals.

"It’s a motivation to come back but we now face Manchester City and we’re looking forward to that"

Sheaf enjoyed playing in front of more than 3,000 fans at the Emirates and says it only makes him hungrier to reach the first team and perform there on a regular basis.

“Whenever you play at Emirates Stadium it’s unbelievable, the pitch is unbelievable,” he told Arsenal Player. “It’s just a good experience. It is where you want to be. You want to be playing for the first team on this pitch.

“It is almost a bit of a motivation. You want to come back here and play in front of the fans – they were great. It’s a motivation to come back but we now face Manchester City and we’re looking forward to that.

“It feels great. Last season we didn’t quite get there but this season we have a good squad, good togetherness and we had good performance out there so it is good to get out to the semis.”
