Arsene Wenger says that Steve Bruce has shown “great consistency as a player and manager”.
The 55-year-old has been involved in football since 1979, lifting 14 trophies as a player and winning promotion with Birmingham City and Hull City.
Bruce also led the Tigers to the 2014 FA Cup final, where they were beaten by Arsenal, and Wenger revealed how much he respects the former Manchester United defender ahead of Saturday’s fifth-round fixture.
"He is a fantastic football man who has great consistency as a player and manager"
“He is a fantastic football man who has great consistency as a player and manager,” he said.
“He has been in the game for a long, long time but he is not so much in the media talk, he is in football. I like that, real football people.
“I think he will be [managing in the Premier League] again next season. He did many times in his career. I don’t think there’s a big difference between the quality of a Championship manager and Premier League manager. For me there is no difference.”
