England midfielder Fara Williams has joined Arsenal from Liverpool Ladies.

The 31-year-old is England’s most-capped player, having passed Rachel Yankey’s record of 129 appearances for her country in August 2014.

She played a key part in the Lionesses’ successful World Cup campaign in Canada last summer, scoring three penalties, including an extra-time winner against Germany to secure England’s third-placed finish in the tournament.
