Arsenal Ladies has completed the signing of Dutch duo Dominique Janssen and Sari Van Veenendaal.
Janssen is a 20-year-old defender. She joins the Gunners following a two-year spell with Frauen Bundesliga club SGS Essen in Germany.
Goalkeeper Van Veenendaal, 25, arrives in north London from Holland, where she won four league titles in five years with FC Twente.
Janssen and Van Veenendaal helped the Netherlands to the last 16 stage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada this summer.
Arsenal Ladies manager Pedro Martinez Losa said: “We are very pleased to welcome two excellent new players to our squad. Sari is a fantastic young keeper with lots of international experience. She has a great attitude, she is a winner and she will provide good competition for the number one jersey here at Arsenal. Dominique is a strong player with good technical attributes and a good character. She is a versatile player and will be able to help the team in a lot of different areas.”
Everyone at Arsenal would like to welcome both Dominique and Sari to the club.
