Lukas Podolski did not feature in Inter Milan’s 3-2 defeat at Genoa. Mauro Icardi gave Inter the lead but Leonardo Pavoletti equalised five minutes later. Rodrigo Palacio then restored Inter’s lead but Maxime Lestienne and Juraj Kucka struck to secure all three points for Genoa.

Wellington was a 54th-minute substitute in Almeria’s 3-2 defeat against Valencia. Thomas Partey gave the hosts the lead before Nicolas Otamendi equalised, but Soriano restored Almeria’s lead. Sofiane Feghouli then levelled for a second time before Paco Alcacer scored an 80th-minute winner to confirm Almeria’s relegation to the Segunda Division.

Joel Campbell played the full 90 minutes of Villarreal’s 4-0 defeat at Bilbao. Aduriz put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot, and Iraola and Benat added two more before the break. Aduriz then scored his second after half-time, but Villarreal still secured a Europa League spot despite another heavy defeat.
