Ospina - The boss has put us on course

David Ospina says Arsene Wenger’s confidence in his players has allowed them to produce their best form.

The Gunners recorded their eighth successive Premier League victory with a 1-0 win against Burnley and beat Reading on Saturday to secure their place in the FA Cup final.

Arsenal endured a tough start to the campaign but Ospina believes the team's fine form will see them finish the season strongly.

"We have a brilliant manager in charge who has been able to put us on course for where we want to go"

“I think that we have created our own way of playing,” the Colombia international told Arsenal Player.

“We have excellent players at our disposal but now we have to keep on track. We have a brilliant manager in charge who has been able to put us on course for where we want to go.

“The defence I play with is full of experienced players who have played many games in strong national teams. It has helped for sure. We take pride in doing things well and I’m sure we can achieve a lot.”

Ospina joined the club from Nice last summer and has since become a regular in Wenger’s starting XI, and the goalkeeper said it had been a positive experience.

“I adapted to the English style and the style required by the team quickly,” he said. “I tried to put it into practice in the role I play in the team, in the best way possible.

“I have to thank all the fans for the experience they’ve given me. It’s been important to me and this team, and has been a great source of pride for me. As I’ve always said, I will always try my best and dedicate myself to the team, and I hope I will be able to give my all until the end for Arsenal.”
