Aaron Ramsey says he has been on "an emotional rollercoaster” since his grandmother passed away recently.
The Wales international’s ‘Nanny Leeny’ was one of his biggest fans, and used to watch the 24-year-old’s matches on television.
Ramsey admits it has been a “tough few weeks” for him and his family since they lost her.
“She meant an awful lot to me, we had a great relationship and I dedicated my last couple of goals to her,” he said. “I have been on an emotional rollercoaster of late.
“She was an incredible woman. She lost her husband early in her life and had to raise seven kids on her own and those days it was an incredibly difficult thing to do. [She was] always happy, making jokes.
“She always believed in me and gave me reassurance. I got her Sky to watch a few [games]. She would always complain it was not on ‘normal’ TV!
“She used to watch and take me down to games when I was eight or nine. She would always be asking about how I was doing and things like that.”
