Laurent Koscielny says Arsenal are prepared for the threat posed by Stoke City on Sunday.

The sides meet at the Emirates just a month after Mark Hughes’ team beat the Gunners 3-2 at Britannia Stadium.

Arsene Wenger’s team took 10 points from their next four games after that setback, but were beaten at Southampton on New Year’s Day, and Koscielny is determined to return to winning ways in the league.

“We need to win the game, because we lost the last [Premier League match] and we lost at Stoke,” he said. “It’s a different game because it’s at home and at the moment to be the best and to win our points at home is the most important thing.

“We will do everything on the pitch to win the game. It’s an English game, with lots of crosses, long balls and duels, where you have to win the second ball.

“It’s different to other teams, who try to play on the floor with movement and passes. They have quality and they play well now because they try to play on the second ball.

“They have some good technical players. It will be a tough game but we know that and will be ready for this.”
