Jordan Nobbs is confident Arsenal Ladies’ tour to Japan will give Pedro Martinez Losa a good opportunity to assess his squad.

The Gunners’ 10-day trip will see them take part in the International Women’s Club Championship, where they will enter the competition at the semi-finals stage on Wednesday.

Nobbs believes it will be the perfect chance for the players to reacquaint themselves with Lianne Sanderson as well as get to know the new staff.

"The attraction of Arsenal over there is massive and it’s really nice to have that attention on the club and players"

“You could almost say it’s a pre-season leading onto the next campaign,” Nobbs told Arsenal.com. “Hopefully we’ll bond as a team and as players as well, and Pedro will be able to see what works and what doesn’t.

“We’ve just signed Lianne so that’s something where we needed a bit of team bonding with a new staff and new squad. Having a good trip will definitely be a massive positive when we play the big teams in our league next year.

“I’m really looking forward to it. We got to see their culture and played a massive charity game last time. This year will be extra exciting because we’re playing in the tournament, especially for the girls who haven’t been before.

“The attraction of Arsenal over there is massive and it’s really nice to have that attention on the club and players. Shinobu Ohno and Yukari Kinga are part of our team so that has encouraged people to support Arsenal in Japan.

“The more places we can go to and show our football, the better it is for the club and the players.”
