It was another memorable European night for Emile Smith Rowe on Thursday.
Having scored his first senior goal in our win at Qarabag in October, the teenager was on target again as we beat Vorskla in Kiev.
This is what Smith Rowe had to say about the game to the media afterwards:
on whether it was a straightforward result…
It was a good win for us and a few lads got their debuts, so we’re just happy to get the win
on scoring in the east…
You know what, I’ve probably scored more in away games too! I’m very happy but it’s more important that we won today.
on his disallowed goal…
I was a bit shocked but because there wasn’t a lot of fans no one was celebrating. I thought it was offside as well, but it’s happened and I’m happy to just score anyway.
on what it’s like playing in such cold conditions…
My fingers and my toes are very cold, but you’ve just got to get on with it
on finishing top in their group…
Every cup we’re in we want to win. We’re improving in every game and I’m very happy to be involved.
