Montemurro and Miedema up for Best FIFA awards

Joe Montemurro

Joe Montemurro and Vivianne Miedema have been nominated for categories at The Best FIFA Football Awards in September.

Montemurro joins a 10-person shortlist for The Best FIFA Women's Coach, alongside the United States' World Cup winning coach Jill Ellis and England Lionesses boss Phil Neville.

Miedema has been nominated for The Best FIFA Women's Player, following her record-breaking season and exploits with the Netherlands national team during this summer's World Cup. She is joined by reigning Ballon d'Or Feminin winner Ada Hegerberg and England's World Cup stars, Lucy Bronze and Ellen White.

Voting is now open for these four awards, and the decision will be split between four key pillars of the beautiful game: the players, the coaches, the fans and the media.
