Emi Martinez played the full 90 minutes as Reading won 2-1 against Preston at the Madejski Stadium. Yakou Meite scored the opener, before Modou Barrow double the hosts’ advantage. Jayden Stockley then scored a late consolation for Preston.
Calum Chambers played the entirety of Fulham’s 2-0 home loss to Manchester City. Bernardo Silva and Sergio Aguero provided the goals.
Takuma Asano played the final 15 minutes of Hannover’s 1-0 home loss to Schalke. Suat Serdar scored the game’s only goal.
Matt Macey was in goal for Plymouth’s 2-2 draw away at Blackpool. Freddie Ladapo and Ryan Edwards gave the Pilgrims a two-goal lead, but late goals from former Arsenal academy product Marc Bola and Curtis Tilt earned the hosts a draw.
