Martinelli set to complete Gunners century

Gabriel Martinelli will make his 100th appearance for Arsenal

After being selected in Mikel Arteta’s line-up for tonight’s game against PSV Eindhoven, Gabriel Martinelli is set to complete a century of appearances for the club.

The Brazilian attacker will take to the field for the 100th time in our colours in Eindhoven, having made his debut against Newcastle United in August 2019. The first of his 22 goals so far came the following month against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup when he bagged a brace, which were the first of 10 goals he netted in an impressive debut campaign.

He matched his tally of 14 league matches in 2020/21, but last term he became a regular in the side and played in 29 of our 38 games, bagging six strikes.

So far this season he has already added another four to his tally in just nine Premier League appearances and as well as two assists.

Gabi is set to make his 18th appearance in the Europa League tonight, with his century made up of 68 Premier League games, nine in the League Cup and the other five in the FA Cup.

Congratulations Gabi!
