Mark McGuinness has joined Championship side Cardiff City on a permanent contract.
The Republic of Ireland youth international joined our academy aged 10 and progressed through the ranks, signing his first professional contract with us in April 2019.
The 20-year-old defender spent last season on loan with League One side Ipswich Town, where he made 25 appearances during the campaign, becoming an integral part of their squad.
During our pre-season ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, Mark featured in our friendly match at MK Dons, playing in central defence and also scoring in the 4-1 win.
We thank Mark for his contribution to club during his 10 years with us and we wish him well in the new chapter of his career with Cardiff City.
This deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
