After four and a half seasons at the club, Manuela Zinsberger has decided to extend her stay in north London by signing a new deal.
"I couldn't wish for a better day to let people know that I've officially signed a new contract. It's an unbelievable feeling," said Zinsberger, after putting pen to paper.
There were a host of reasons that influenced our Austrian goalkeeper's decision to stay, including her teammates and the incredible support in the stands, week in and week out.
"The team itself, but also the crowd. How the Arsenal family has been growing since I've been here, it's amazing. How we're selling out stadiums consistently just makes me proud being on the pitch, turning around to see every Arsenal supporter behind my back and the passion about it.
"There's also the potential in myself to even do better each season but also learn as a person. I can give you many more reasons but I think that's a good summary!"
Our number one is renowned for playing with her heart on her sleeve and walking down the tunnel at Emirates Stadium in front of over 50,000 people has only fuelled that passion and love for the club.
"Stepping on the pitch, feeling the crowd cheering us on - it just gives me goosebumps," she said. "I can't describe that feeling. Especially when we score a goal, turning around, cheering them up and they cheer me up. I cheer them up, whatever. It's just like seeing the passion in the supporters as well is unbelievable. I love a sold-out Emirates Stadium."
"For me, it means everything. Having the possibility to live my dream as a pro footballer is unbelievable and that's what you see on the pitch. You see my passion, you see my hard work and you see my loyalty to the club as well and especially to the team. For me, team comes first and then everyone else. I can't describe that feeling.
"It makes me happy and I'm looking forward to how far the women's game in England, but especially at Arsenal, can go."
Manu also shared the importance of our goalkeepers' union to her development, as her fellow keepers and goalkeeping coaches spur each other on behind the scenes.
"I'm always there to support any other goalkeeper. I'm always there to take advice from others," the shot-stopper added. "It's also good to have a push in training as well. I think the bond which we have in the goalkeeping unit, especially with our goalkeeping coach as well, is unbelievable.
"We have so much fun. That's always a good part. We're working hard, we're pushing each other and we just have each other's back. That's the most important thing. The team comes first and then every individual."
"It's just the bond in the team. It's just the chats we have with each other. But it's also the belief that sometimes you have to take a step back, sooner or later, to take a step forward. We're working towards a target, towards a goal and I think, if everyone believes in the same thing, we will get success."
In terms of that success on the pitch, silverware is high on the list of things Manu wants to achieve in north London.
"Definitely as many trophies as possible. Individually, I would love to get the Golden Glove, which means lots of clean sheets, which helps the team as well. But, as I've said, developing myself personally on and off the pitch to support my teammates better. I'll leave my passion on the pitch and show my loyalty to the club."
