Lotte Wubben-Moy signs new contract

Lotte Wubben-Moy

We are delighted to announce that Lotte Wubben-Moy has signed a new deal with the club.

Born in London, the 23-year-old centre-back and lifelong Arsenal fan has become an important member of our squad since returning to the club in 2020.

Lotte rose through our youth academy before making her senior debut in 2015 at the age of 16, before a stint in the USA playing college football with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Her ‘second debut’ came on September 26, 2020 coming on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur during our 4-0 win at Meadow Park. Lotte has since made a total of 61 appearances for the club, scoring five goals.

Since rejoining, Lotte has gone on to establish herself as a senior England international, winning seven caps for her country.

As part of her new deal, Lotte has also committed to working closely with Arsenal in the Community over the coming years to give back to the local area where she grew up and still lives. Find out more about Lotte's community commitment here.

“It feels amazing,” said Lotte. “This contract means so much more to me and to my family than just it being a football contract. It’s a commitment to the club and it’s a commitment to Arsenal, the community that it’s active in and to my life as a whole, because that’s what Arsenal is – it’s my life.”

Head coach Jonas Eidevall said: “Lotte has proven herself as an important player for us this season and so I’m delighted that she has extended her stay with the club. She is one of the most exciting young defenders in English football and I believe she has all the tools to continue her progression here at Arsenal.”

“We’re delighted that Lotte has committed her future to the club,” added Head of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley. “Lotte knows this club inside out and we are all proud to see her establishing herself for both club and country. Her progression since rejoining us in 2020 has been impressive and we look forward to watching her continue to develop in the years to come.”
