Nuno Tavares continued his impressive start to the season with two more assists in Lazio’s 3-0 win at home to Genoa on Sunday.

Setting up goals for Tijjani Noslin and Matias Vecino, Tavares is now level with Bukayo Saka for the most assists in the top five European league this season (seven).

Lazio are now sixth in Serie A with 16 points from nine games.

Albert Sambi Lokonga also provided an assist last week. After celebrating his 25th birthday on Tuesday, he supplied Dodi Lukebakio for the opening goal of Sevilla’s 2-0 win away to RCD Espanyol on Friday.

Lukebakio completed his brace on the brink of half-time to send Sevilla up to 10th in La Liga.

Real Valladolid, meanwhile, were succumbed to 19th in the division after a 2-1 defeat at home to Villarreal, which Karl Hein played 90 minutes of.

Mamadou Sylla pulled one back from the penalty spot after Thierno Barry opened the scoring for the visitors, but Ayoze Perez netted a winner late on.

In the Premier League, Reiss Nelson came on in the 68th minute of Fulham’s 1-1 draw away to Everton on Saturday and looked lively after replacing Adama Traore.

Marco Silva’s side were made to pay for not getting a second goal after Alex Iwobi gave them the lead, as Beto netted a 94th minute equaliser to share the points at Goodison Park.

Fulham are tenth in the Premier League with 12 points from nine games.

Fabio Vieira was in UEFA Europa League action with FC Porto, coming on in the 60th minute of Thursday’s 2-0 win at home to Hoffenheim.

Porto are 15th after their first win in the competition courtesy of goals from Tiago Djalo and Samu Omorodion.

It was a week to forget for Shrewsbury Town, who suffered 1-0 and 2-0 defeats to Bristol Rovers and Barnsley respectively, Charles Sagoe Jr coming on in the 74th minute of the former.

The two results keep Shrewsbury 23rd in League One with eight points from 14 games.

Jack Henry-Francis played 90 minutes of Sligo Rovers’ 2-2 draw away to Galway United on Friday.

Sligo twice took the lead through Luke Pearce and Simon Power but were twice pegged back courtesy of equalisers from Jimmy Keohane and Stephen Walsh.

They’re now sixth in the League of Ireland Premier Division with 49 points from 35 games.
