While many of our men's loanees had the weekend off due to the international break, there were still nine Gunners in action including five members of our women's team.
Crystal Palace went to the top of the Women’s Championship following Sunday’s emphatic 9-1 win at home to Durham - the biggest win in their history - and after scoring on her Eagles debut last weekend, Araya Dennis assisted goals for Elise Hughes and Molly-Mae Sharpe in the second half, the latter with the below cross into the box.

Palace are now top of the Women’s Championship with seven points from three games, ahead of Sunderland on goal difference.
Elsewhere in the division, Katie Reid and Laila Harbert both played 90 minutes for Watford as they got their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win away to Charlton Athletic, in a game that saw fellow Gunners teammate Freya Godfrey come on at half-time for the Addicks. Watford are now sixth in the Championship, while Charlton are ninth and still looking for their first win of the season.
Ruby Doe also registered an assist with a cross to the back post for Natasha Thomas, as Ipswich Town were beaten 3-2 at Hashtag United on Wednesday. Ruby played another 90 minutes in Sunday’s 1-0 win away to MK Dons and Ipswich are now third in the FA WPL Premier Division South, three points behind Hashtag and Rugby Borough.
In the men's game, Mauro Bandeira came on in the 71st minute of Colchester United’s 2-0 win at home to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday. The U's went up to 20th in League Two with their second win of the season so far.
Earlier in the week, Arthur Okonkwo was in Papa John’s Trophy action and kept a clean sheet for Wrexham, as they beat Newcastle United under-21s 1-0 at home on Tuesday night. The Red Dragons are second in Group B, level on points with Port Vale.
Brother Brian Okonkwo played 90 minutes of Leatherhead's 2-1 loss at Horsham in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup on Tuesday, but Saturday proved more fruitful thanks to a 6-1 win away to Herne Bay in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy. Leatherhead will face Southall away in the second qualifying round on Saturday, September 23.
Finally, Billy Vigar came on for Eastbourne Borough in Wednesday’s 2-1 win away to Havant & Waterlooville and Saturday’s 3-2 defeat away to Yeovil Town. Eastbourne are now 16th in the National League South.
