Loan Watch: Saliba stars and keeps clean sheet

We had five players in action for their loan clubs over the past weekend.

William Saliba played the full 90 minutes, keeping a clean sheet as Saint-Etienne won 1-0 away to Bordeaux. Denis Bouanga scored the winning goal in injury time, as Saliba played a key part in continuing Claude Puel's winning start with Les Verts.

 

Mohamed Elneny played for 82 minutes before being substituted as Besiktas drew 0-0 away to Ankaragucu.

 

Eddie Nketiah came on at half-time as Leeds won 1-0 at home to Birmingham City. The game was goalless at the break, with Eddie playing the second 45 minutes. Kalvin Phillips scored the game’s only goal in the 65th minute.

 

Ben Sheaf played the entirety of Doncaster’s 2-0 home win over Bristol Rovers. Kieran Sadlier and Jon Taylor score the goals for Rovers.

 

Deyan Iliev played the full 90 minutes as Sered won 2-1 against Spartak Trnava. Adam Morong and Djibi Ba gave the hosts a two-goal lead, before Bogdan Mitrea halved the deficit in the 78th minute.

 

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was not in Roma’s squad for their 0-0 draw at Sampdoria.

Jordi Osei-Tutu was an unused substitute as Bochum played out a 3-3 home draw with Karlsruhe.
