Loan watch: Marquinhos provides assist in victory

Marquinhos

Marquinhos provided his first assist in Cruzeiro colours as the Brazilian outfit ran out 3-1 winners against Uberlandia.

Coming on in the 66th minute for Matheus Henrique, the winger set up Dudu just 13 minutes later as the striker sealed victory for Celeste in the Campeonato Mineiro.

The assist builds on Marquinhos' bright start to life at Cruzeiro, having found the net last time out against Itabirito.

In La Liga, Sambi Lokonga played the full 90 as his Sevilla team played out a 0-0 draw against Getafe.

It was Sambi's fifth successive start in the Spanish league and the result leaves Sevilla in 12th place in the table.

It was a tough afternoon for Karl Hein's Real Valladolid as they lost 5-1 to Villarreal at El Madrigal.

Goals from Ayoze Perez, Pape Gueye, Santi Comesana, Thierno Barry and former Gunner loanee Denis Suarez gave Villarreal all three points, leaving Hein's Valladolid at the bottom of La Liga.

Michelle Agyemang played the final 10 minutes of Brighton's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace in the Women's Super League.

Replacing Madison Haley, the forward couldn't stop the Eagles from netting a late equaliser from My Cato. Lily Woodham's own goal had given the Seagulls the lead in the first half.

In the Women's Championship, Teyah Goldie came off the bench to help London City Lionesses see out a 1-0 victory over Portsmouth.

Teyah played the last five minutes of the contest which saw the Lionesses move to within a point of Birmingham City at the top of the table.
