Eight of our players were in action for their respective loan clubs over the weekend - but how did they perform?

Read on to find out:

Ainsley Maitland-Niles picked up his first point as a West Brom player on Saturday, as Sam Allardyce's side drew 1-1 with Manchester United at The Hawthorns. Mbaye Diagne opened the scoring for the hosts before Bruno Fernandes volleyed level before half time. Maitland-Niles completed the full 90 minutes in central midfield.

Zech Medley made his third appearance for Kilmarnock, playing the entirety of their 1-0 defeat to Rangers. Ryan Jack’s first-half strike was enough to settle the match.

Mark McGuinness played the full 90 minutes but couldn’t prevent Ipswich losing 2-1 away to Peterborough in League Two. Ipswich took the lead in the opening exchanges through James Norwood, but second half strikes from Jonson Clarke-Harris and Joe Ward meant they came away with nothing.

Joseph Olowu made his debut for Wealdstone last Tuesday. He played the full game, helping his new side to a 1-1 draw against Torquay after goals from Billy Waters and Jacob Mendy.

Over in France, William Saliba was in fine form for Nice despite falling to a 2-1 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1. Our 19-year-old defender couldn’t prevent goals from Julian Draxler and Moise Kean earning the French champions all three points.

Sead Kolasinac played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet as Schalke drew 0-0 with Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. The result leaves Schalke bottom of the league, nine points from safety after 21 games.

Matteo Guendouzi
played the full 90 minutes as Hertha Berlin drew 1-1 with Stuttgart on the road. Sasa Kalajdzic opened the scoring for Stuttgart before Luca Netz equalised late on. Dinos Mavropanos also featured in the game, playing the full match for Stuttgart as they finished gameweek 21 10th in the Bundesliga.
