Nuno Tavares bagged himself an eighth assist in his first eight Serie A games for Lazio against Como, but the night would not end well for the Portuguese as he was sent off in the 5-1 victory.
After setting up Pedro for Lazio’s second of the night, Nuno picked up two yellow cards in the space of 10 second-half minutes. He will now miss Monday night’s home contest against Cagliari.

In Portugal, Fabio Vieira was a second-half substitute in Porto’s 2-0 win over Morierense in the Taca da Liga quarter-final to set up a meeting with our Champions League rivals Sporting in the last four. He then returned to the starting line-up for Sunday's 4-0 drubbing of Estoril, playing 69 minutes of the contest. That win leaves them three points behind Sporting at the top of the table after 10 matches.
Karl Hein played the full 90 minutes for Real Valladolid but it was another tough afternoon for Pucela as they lost 1-0 to Osasuna. Hein pulled off four stops during the match including one fine save to deny Jon Moncayola. Ante Budimir scored the only goal of the game for the hosts to leave Valladolid 19th in the 20-team division.
Also in La Liga, Sambi Lokonga suffered the same fate as his Sevilla side were beaten 2-0 by Real Sociedad. The Belgian midfielder played 80 minutes of the game but strikes from Takefusa Kubo and Mikel Oyarzabal won the game for the visitors, leaving Sevilla 12th in the table.
In England, Charles Sagoe Jr played the first 45 minutes in Shrewsbury Town’s FA Cup first-round exit to Salford City. Making his seventh start of the season, the youngster was replaced by Alex Gilliead at halftime as the Shrews exited the cup to the League Two outfit.
Over in Brazil, there was late drama for Marquinhos’ Fluminense as they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Gremio.
The winger was a 90th-minute substitute but a penalty nine minutes later from Gremio’s Reinaldo helped the visitors rescue a last-gasp point. The result puts Fluminense three points above the relegation zone after 32 matches.
In the WSL, Brighton's dream start to the campaign continued as they beat Leicester City 1-0 thanks to a goal from former Gunner Nikita Parris. That saw them go four top-flight home games unbeaten for the first time in their history, and Michelle Agyemang featured for the final few minutes to help her team over the line, and up to third spot in the table.
Teyah Goldie helped London City Lioneeses to a fifth win of the Women’s Championship season as they defeated Sheffield United 1-0. The centre-back played the full 90 minutes, helping the Lionesses to a second straight clean sheet of the campaign. The result puts the side in second place, level on points with leaders Birmingham City.
In Ireland, Jack Henry-Francis’ Sligo Rovers ended their season with a home defeat to St Patrick’s Athletic. The midfielder played the full 90 at The Showgrounds as Sligo finished the campaign in sixth position. In total, Jack played 13 games during his loan spell, providing one assist.
