Arsenal Ladies came back from a goal behind to see off Bristol Academy 4-1, moving them six points clear at the top of the Women’s Premier League.
A superb 25-yard effort from Grace McCatty handed the hosts the lead on the half hour but four second-half goals, including a Julie Fleeting hat trick, secured the victory for Vic Akers’ side.
McCatty’s goal lived a charmed life before Bristol eventually crumbled. 11 minutes after the restart, Faye White nodded the visitors level and within moments Fleeting grabbed her first of the game after some good work from Rachel Yankey.
The striker then latched onto a Kelly Smith through-ball to double her tally and she completed her treble with her head after 77 minutes.
