Canada made a flying start to their Gold Cup campaign, with our very own Cloe Lacasse scoring once and assisting three times in their opening match.
Our number 24 opened the scoring and went on to bag three assists in the 6-0 win over El Salvador. Lacasse's goal in the third minute of play came as she picked up possession on the right wing, cut inside with her electric pace and slotted the ball through the keeper's legs.
Lacasse caused further danger down the right wing in the 24th minute, running to the byline and floating a cross into the box which was turned in by Seattle Reign's Jordyn Huitema.
She assisted again less than five minutes later on the counter-attack as Adriana Leon completed the move, before setting up Olivia Smith for Canada's sixth and final goal.
Sabrina D'Angelo also registered a clean sheet in the comprehensive victory, marking her first appearance for her country since October.
Canada's next group-stage opponent is Paraguay, who they'll face on Sunday, February 25 (10pm GMT).
Elsewhere, Emily Fox and the US Women's National Team are back in action in the early hours of Saturday morning (3.15am GMT) with a clash against Argentina.
