Katie McCabe has won the Women's Super League Goal of the Season award for her sublime strike against Manchester City.
72 hours before the vital clash against City, Katie was in a protective boot, having hobbled off against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. But it takes a lot to keep Katie McCabe at bay.
She proceeded to use that same foot to hit an exquisite strike across a crowded area, giving us a 2-1 win and ultimately securing our place above City in the league. The subsequent celebrations, as Katie raced to celebrate with our subs bench, would embody the joy and catharsis of our 2022/23 season.
Vivianne Miedema's skilful strike against Everton was also up for the WSL end-of-season award.
