‘Jordan personifies what we’re trying to achieve’

Montemurro

Jordan Nobbs agreed a new contract this week - and Joe Montemurro couldn't be happier.

The duo have worked together since our head coach joined us back in November 2017, winning the FA Women's Super League and FA Women's Continental League Cup in the process.

And Montemurro says Nobbs' attitude is what makes her such a pleasure to work with.

"We're extremely happy," he told Arsenal Player. "Putting football aside, she personifies what Arsenal means and to have players staying here for pretty much their whole career is something that’s very, very special from a coaching perspective.

"They’re unique situations in coaching and in forming groups to have players who are engrained in the fabric of the club and we wish her all the best going forward. She’s an important part of our making as a squad.

"It’s as simple as that. For someone to want to be here and be part of what we’re trying to create, she’s seen the past, where it’s gone and where it’s heading. To be part of that you have to believe in those values, you have to believe in what we are as Arsenal, and you have to believe in what we’re trying to achieve. She personifies that."
