Jodie Taylor reacts to UWCL group stage draw

Following the outcome of the UEFA Women's Champions League draw, Jodie Taylor shared her thoughts on our group stage opponents.

Taylor spent two spells at the club as a player before shifting to a role as Technical Services Manager in 2023.

"I'm excited and happy with the group," she said, live from UEFA headquarters in Nyon. "I think they're going to be challenging games. As for all the groups, I think the gap is getting smaller."

After a season's absence from the competition, Taylor confirmed that our squad's European ambitions are as high as ever.

"We're here to compete. It's a big ambition of the club to win trophies and we want to progress through the tournament as far as we can possibly go and compete.

"We're playing more games at the Emirates, we've got 11 matches there this season. We'll play all of our Champions League games there from the stage onwards. The fans are incredible, the support is incredible. We're happy to be back in the Champions League in front of our fans."
